This March, I’ve been supporting Encodic’s work by developing the health component. This system enabled players to take damage, receive healing, and thanks to
Following that,over the course of April I implemented the team subsystem, which assigns players to teams and currently disables team damage (though this may change).
This subsystem allowed Encodic to create the foundation for the Team Deathmatch game mode, bringing us one step closer to our overall goal.

As part of our effort to complete our core gameplay loop, we’ve been working on Death and Respawning!
The basic iteration of these features are now implemented, allowing you to, well, die - but also come back to life!
For the time being, respawn happens immediately, and without giving the player a choice in respawn location. This is something that will naturally be changed as we expand the scope of this system and move towards finalizing our gameplay design.

Hi all!
I’ve been busy working away in the background working towards a very basic gameplay loop.
Well I’m happy to say we have one now with a very basic team deathmatch mode!

Also, since the slight redesign of the UI with the players KDA at the bottom right we have now made modifications display when inspecting the weapon giving the inspect some purpose. Much more work to be done but hope this post in regards of the gameplay loop excites you as much as it excites us!
As you all may know a while back for testing purposes I made a fully automatic Karabiner 98K.
Well uhhhh may have done a new variant but this time a Shotgun cause why not.
There was a reason for this though, one being we currently have no Shotgun assets but two the systems I’ve been working weren’t setup to support Shotguns.
Which as seen in the video it now does!
And I needed something to use as a placeholder, so the ole trusted Karabiner 98K has been used again.

As nice as it is getting more weapon variations in and supported, hopefully soon we’ll have actual assets to represent these weapons haha.

After finishing up the shotgun system, I’ve thought to myself “Why not make a shotgun aswell?”
Well, why not! Here’s the work so far. It’s not done yet but it’s been progressing quite nicely.

Meanwhile Levi has been busy working on backend system for signing up.
He even added support for changing usernames from the get-go, so if you’re not happy with what you’ve picked you can change it later!
The next step of the process is ensuring usernames aren’t offensive and adding the function that will send you an email to verify your account and adding support for logging in.
After all that’s ready, the User-facing system for changing your password and username needs to be added and we’ll be ready to test it out on our website!
